Where's My Check for Speaking Out Against Socialized Health Care?
Yesterday I wrote a post titled Kristallnacht Near You! telling about how the White House is looking for some everyday American's to become snitches and turn in anyone that dares to disagree or speak out against Obama Care.
Today the DNC jumped into the fray with supposedly sending mass emails to people that emailed flag@whitehouse.gov, regardless if the person contacted the White House Witch Hunt Line to level complaints about health care reform or concerns over this "turn your friends and family in" policy.

Huff Post has an article about the email, DNC Blasts "Sham" Town Hall Protests, that was written by DNC Executive Director and propaganda operative Jen O'Malley Dillon.
Before I argue the fallacies layed out by Ms. Dillon I would like to point out that on Smart Girl Politics there is a member alleging that she wrote in to the White House Spy on Your Neighbor email and then she and everyone in her address book was emailed with Ms. Dillon's DNC email response to everyday Americans expressing their frustrations over Obama Care. The Smart Girl posts are Must Read Email from the Dem National Party and Oh My God!!! I Just Realized the DNC Sent This Email to My Email Address Book!!!! By clicking on the "Must Read Email" link you can see the email in its entirety. I have no verification of the claims other than what the Smart Girl Member says. You're free to make up your own mind.
Now, back to Ms. Dillon's pathetic excuses. Here are her points trying to discredit those that disagree with the progressive agenda towards social health care and my feelings on weak arguments:
1. These disruptions are being funded and organized by out-of-district special-interest groups and insurance companies who fear that health insurance reform could help Americans, but hurt their bottom line. A group run by the same folks who made the "Swiftboat" ads against John Kerry is compiling a list of congressional events in August to disrupt. An insurance company coalition has stationed employees in 30 states to track where local lawmakers hold town-hall meetings.
And here we are with my post title. Where's my check? I've never been approached or know of anyone being paid to speak out against something whether they actually believe in it or not (a boy can dream, though)...except for those senior citizens that groups like Move On and ACORN paid to protest against Republicans and the Bush administration over the past few election cycles. You guys know who I'm talking about; the old people with anti-Bush signs from the state run nursing home that were milling around strip mall parking lots looking confused.
See, here's the problem. The DNC either truly believes people are being paid to protest and speak out because that is something they do to advance their agenda, or they figure they can throw that propaganda out there to smear honest Americans that disagree with what they and the President are trying to advance. The flaw in this DNC tactic is that there are people out there that have reservations, concerns, or flat out disagree with a government run health care system and believe me many of those people are not able to go to a town hall meeting. They hold these feelings and opinions, and they have a brain to think independently of whatever crap the DNC throws at them in terms of bashing anyone that disagrees with the DNC and the President. We're not zombies yet, Ms. Dillon. Unless the Obama Care plan touts lobotomies for all!
2. People are scared because they are being fed frightening lies. These crowds are being riled up by anti-reform lies being spread by industry front groups that invent smears to tarnish the President's plan and scare voters. But as the President has repeatedly said, health insurance reform will create more health care choices for the American people, not reduce them. If you like your insurance or your doctor, you can keep them, and there is no "government takeover" in any part of any plan supported by the President or Congress.
Wrong. People are scared because there is a thousand plus page health care takeover bill that no one has read being pushed through the House. Oh, and it will cost a shit load of tax payer money that is not available. Another thing, because the President "repeatedly" says something we are to take it as a self evident truth? Okay, maybe I'll give a little to the point that it is intended to create another health care option. However, I do not see it being fair for private companies to compete with a government option that can run at a loss until all other options are forced out of business. Thus, we will be left with only one option. Welcome Single Payer!
3. Their actions are getting more extreme. Texas protesters brought signs displaying a tombstone for Rep. Lloyd Doggett and using the "SS" symbol to compare President Obama's policies to Nazism. Maryland Rep. Frank Kratovil was hanged in effigy outside his district office. Rep. Tim Bishop of New York had to be escorted to his car by police after an angry few disrupted his town hall meeting — and more examples like this come in every day. And they have gone beyond just trying to derail the President's health insurance reform plans, they are trying to "break" the President himself and ruin his Presidency.
Whoa, whoa, whoa!! Equating the President to a Nazi and hanging elected political representatives in effigy?!?! Who would do such a thing?! Oh, Democrats would!!

Boo hoo! Is it my understanding that the President is so weak that his presidency is at risk because of any dissent even though the Dems have beaten people down to vote for them (assuming the people that voted actually exist)???
4. Their goal is to disrupt and shut down legitimate conversation. Protesters have routinely shouted down representatives trying to engage in constructive dialouge with voters, and done everything they can to intimidate and silence regular people who just want more information. One attack group has even published a manual instructing protesters to "stand up and shout" and try to "rattle" lawmakers to prevent them from talking peacefully with their constituents.
The goal of Ms. Dillon, the DNC and the President is to not have ANY conversation about government health care. Even if the rest of her point is true it is just a desperate attempt of hers to rail on Republicans for using bully tactics that the DNC has employed in the past and is all too familiar with. However, I don't think her argument is sound. Otherwise she would have been more than happy to attach that "manual."
5. Republican leadership is irresponsibly cheering on the thuggish crowds. Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner issued a statement applauding and promoting a video of the disruptions and looking forward to "a long, hot August for Democrats in Congress."
If you can't take the heat, stay out of the Congress! Every representative is to be held accountable. Regardless of party affiliation. There are everyday people that are registered Dems, Repubs and Independents questioning what is happening. Paid by no one; just concerned about their personal well being.
